Did you hear that? - Concepts of audibility and inaudibility

Today, there are many instances where audible thresholds are suggested/imposted; equally, what in practice shoudl those thresholds be, how can they be measured and are they enforceable? Likewise, at times it may be prudent to ensure inaudibility, what would these be, how can they be measured and could they be directed to one faction of the public?

Papers are invited and should cover where possible the measurement aspects of this topic. Suggested areas that may be covered are high frequency, low frequency, tonal, what is audibility and how it is utilised in the environment, uses of inaudibility and how to measure etc.

Deadline for submission of abstracts: 5 January 2009.
